Shenandoah University kicked off the spring with a fantastic performance of City of Angels.
This show is a story in which simultaneous stories are being told that parallel and intertwine with one another.
Once again the tech crew built an amazing set. Their work made the show more real and engaging. I am always impressed with their design and ingenuity. In this case with the live filming and projection of the scenes involving the characters who are a part of the author’s movie.
The orchestral talent also fueled the power of this musical. Led by Shenandoah University Music Professor Dr. Tom Albert, for the final time, they complimented the actors with every note.
The actors were of course on pointe. Between quick costume changes, witty banter, and soaring solos, they took the stage fiercely in their characters.
Shenandoah University’s next show is a performance by the Edge Ensemble.
